Job Title: Senior Estimator

Job Description:

The Senior Estimator is responsible for reviewing project documentation and preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates while ensuring alignment with company goals, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review bid invitations, drawings, and specifications to determine overall project scope and requirements
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and related materials
• Develop pricing for change orders on existing contracts, ensuring proper cost tracking and documentation
• Interpret and comply with bid instructions and detailed project specifications
• Estimate all required labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services
• Analyze historical cost data and current market conditions to produce accurate and competitive bids
• Monitor project costs to ensure compliance with budget requirements
• Collaborate with senior project leadership when projected costs exceed budget and obtain approval as needed
• Coordinate with internal departments and subcontractors to establish schedules for materials and work execution
• Work closely with Purchasing to secure vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and post-bid negotiations
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to verify accuracy and completeness of construction documents
• Review plans and proposals to determine appropriate procedures that support company objectives
• Maintain thorough documentation for all estimates and related project records
• Support initiatives aimed at strengthening relationships and reputation with general contractors
